As an agri-business company engaged in agriculture Hartung Brothers, Inc. has the following areas of employment opportunities available:

Mechanic Positions:
Availability in the following departments: Raw Products Group (Snapbeans and Sweet corn), Hartung Farms  and H & N Logistics, LLC.  Experience and skills needed include all phases of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and brake systems. Candidate should have a two year technical college degree, Ag Engineering degree or equivalent experience.

Field Positions:
The Raw Products division works with Growers, Farmers, Customers and Canners in snap bean and sweet corn production. Duties include contracting crops, scheduling planting dates, varieties, billing, monitoring crops for growth, pests, and diseases, coordinating crop harvest and Grower settlements. Candidates should have a B.S. degree in Agronomy or Soils with working knowledge of vegetable crops, pesticides and fertilizer.

Seasonal Intern Positions :
Hartung Brothers, Inc. has many seasonal intern positions available including:

1. Field Person/Scout -
  Assisting Company Field staff as described above.
   
2. Assistant Crew Leader/Harvest Operator -
  Assist Crew Leaders and Mechanics with vegetable crop harvesting crews during the growing season.
   
3. Assistant Spray Coupe Operator -
  Assist in pesticide spraying of vegetable and field crops. Must have a valid Pesticide License.

 

Hartung Brothers, Inc. is currently seeking to fill the following two full-time positions:

Seed Corn Production Specialist

Qualified candidate should have 2-3 years of experience in seed corn production, have a good understanding of seed corn cross characteristics, seed genetics, good communication & computer skills and the ability to work effectively with growers and detasseling crews.

Human Resources Manager

Position will handle all functions of H.R. including  recruitment, employee relations, policy & benefit administration and development, contract negotiations for such benefits as health ins. and workers comp ins., performance and wage compensation, and State & Federal law compliance.

Qualified candidates will have a B.S. degree with a minimum of 2–3  years experience in H.R.; experience working with multi-state, multi-site environment;  strong interpersonal & communication skills, strong organizational & time management skills including ability to work independently and with flexibility.  Need a strong background & knowledge of Agribusiness.  Good knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations.  Good working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software based applications.
